Simulation Learning Centre Assistant

Support simulation learning at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Saskatoon through equipment preparation, product research, and organized Simulation Learning Centre operations.
The Simulation Assistant works cooperatively with the Simulation Learning Centre team and supports simulation events and scenarios. Relevant candidates include Nurses, Paramedics, and CCA’s with acute care experience. The position requires medical terminology, healthcare product knowledge, communication, and initiative.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare supplies and equipment for specific simulation events
Assist technicians with physical equipment preparation and dismantling
Dismantle and store materials after simulation scenarios
Perform product and vendor research
Maintain relationships with educational, industry, and vendor counterparts
Requirements:

Relevant education, training, or equivalent experience
Minimum two years in an acute care setting
Current knowledge of medical procedures and consumable products
Introductory experience using Microsoft Office suite
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Bring acute care experience, practical preparation skills, and initiative to Simulation Learning Centre activities at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
