Healthcare Pharmacy Assistant Carewest

Carewest seeks a Pharmacy Assistant to support quality care and safety while preparing client-specific medications and processing pharmacy orders.
Reporting to the Program Director, Pharmacy Services, this casual support position serves the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre pharmacy. Duties include routine medication preparation, efficient pharmacy equipment use, order processing, inventory control, and related pharmacy service administration. The environment focuses on customer service for residents and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine duties for client-specific medication preparation
Use pharmacy equipment efficiently during preparation tasks
Process orders supporting pharmacy service delivery
Maintain pharmacy inventory control
Complete related duties as required
Requirements:
Basic computer skills using MS Office and FileMaker
Pharmacy Assistant certificate or diploma preferred
Experience in long term care pharmacy preferred
Acute care hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Community pharmacy experience may be considered
