Level 2 Cybersecurity Incident Response Specialist

Investigate complex cybersecurity incidents in a hybrid Specialist contract based in Toronto, Scarborough, or Barrie. Apply EDR and digital forensics expertise.
This one-year contract may extend and supports escalated Level 2 security incidents. The work includes endpoint threat investigations, live response analysis, forensic evidence review, and incident documentation. You will coordinate with internal security teams and external technology partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate escalated Level 2 cybersecurity incidents and security breaches
Conduct digital forensic and live response investigations
Use EDR tools to identify and contain threats
Develop host activity timelines and assess incident impact
Prepare technical reports and coordinate response activities
Requirements:
Three to four years in Security Operations or Incident Response
Three to four years investigating and responding to breaches
Three to four years using EDR tools
Two to three years in Digital Forensics
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
Bring incident response, EDR, live investigation, and forensic analysis experience to complex Level 2 cybersecurity incidents.
