Senior Automation Engineer - Energy Sector

At Stantec, you will be part of the Energy and Resources Team, tackling some of the most complex engineering challenges in Mining, Power Generation, and Renewable Energy fields. You will evaluate, select, and engineer control systems, participate in client meetings, and ensure all projects align with strict health and safety regulations. Your proactive approach will contribute to our mission of creating sustainable energy solutions that benefit communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, evaluate, and specify systems for automation projects
• Lead project scope definition and budget management
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Engage in multidiscipline team collaboration
• Create instrument location plans and installation details
Requirements:
• Engineering Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• 10+ years in heavy industry design and engineering
• PE Licensed in Texas or Arizona, or commitment to acquire
• Proven project leadership and communication skills
• Willingness to travel to client sites (~10%)
