South Health Campus needs a Health Care Aide for Unit 66, supporting patient comfort, safety, independence, and choice in acute care.
This Alberta Health Services position serves General Internal Medicine and Cardiology patients within a multidisciplinary team. You will work with patients, families, and caregivers while following delegated care plans. The role includes support services across the continuum of care in health care facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow patient care plans under professional supervision
Deliver support services for short-term or ongoing needs
Assist organized activities or programs for patients
Support effective communication with patients and professionals
Request guidance when assigned tasks exceed competence
Requirements:
Current CLHA registration as a Health Care Aide
Proof of HCA education or required certificate completion
Grade 12 Diploma and Provincial Curriculum program graduation
Current BCLS-HCP and clear verbal and written English
Acute care HCA experience; CoACT knowledge preferred
Use patient-care planning, communication, and safety awareness to support acute cardiac patients at South Health Campus.
