Youth Care Worker needed in Ponteix, Vanguard, and Val Marie, supporting student services through counselling and family communication. This permanent full-time position requires 35 hours weekly.
The Chinook School Division seeks a Youth Care Worker for its student-centered school communities. You will support students’ academic and social-emotional needs through interagency collaboration, family advocacy, and socio-emotional programming. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Participate actively on a student services team
Support positive parent and school communications
Advocate for parents in agency and school involvement
Connect families with community parenting and family supports
Assist counselling and socio-emotional programming teams
Requirements:

Social Worker, Youth Worker, or Youth Counsellor certification or diploma
School-based experience with children preferred
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to collaborate with students, families, and school staff
Criminal records check with vulnerable sector search required
Support students and families as a Youth Care Worker through advocacy, counselling supports, and collaborative school services.
