Engineer reliable IBM i infrastructure for Staples Canada through upgrades, security management, and performance tuning. Work hybrid with four onsite days in Richmond Hill.
This IBM i Infrastructure Engineer supports AS/400 servers and their daily operations. You will lead technology projects, coordinate with hosting partners, maintain third party software, and monitor security. The position also includes troubleshooting, compliance, and after hour support for critical business or IT issues.
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate IBM i technology enhancement and implementation projects
Work with hosting partners on PTFs and upgrade packages
Configure Robot scheduling and production promotion activities
Upgrade third party vendor software on IBM i
Provide after hour support for critical issues
Requirements:

Five to ten years as an IBM i engineer or administrator
Degree in computer science or engineering with relevant work experience
IBM i 7.3 or later experience
Backup, restore, printer queue, and security management experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Robot Suites, MIMIX, and Patrick Townsend
Use IBM i engineering, upgrade coordination, and operational support skills to strengthen Staples Canada’s Richmond Hill systems environment.
