Manager Cash Control and Reporting

Lead cash control and reporting at METRO’s Ontario Finance and Accounting department, using reconciliation and advanced Excel expertise. This permanent full-time role is based at 5559 Dundas Street West.
The Manager, Cash Control oversees financial operations and cash management across company Store Retail locations. You will manage a team, maintain accurate reporting, and strengthen procedures supporting compliance, fraud prevention, and accountability. The role requires collaboration with stores, suppliers, auditors, and Head Office Business Partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage six or more employees through direct and indirect reports
Analyze weekly cash reconciliation discrepancies and resolve reporting errors
Reconcile fundraising campaigns and employee taxable benefits
Develop reports and documentation for Metro and Food Basics
Participate in store visits, projects, and internal audits
Requirements:
College diploma or university studies in finance or accounting
Working toward or holding the Chartered Professional Accountant designation
Five to seven years of progressive accounting analysis experience
Advanced MS Office, SAP, BDMS, and Sweda POS knowledge
Advanced Excel skills with macros, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables
