Structural Steel Welding Inspector

Structural steel inspection and welding expertise define this Edmonton position at Qualimet. Work approximately 60% in the field and 40% in the office.
As a Structural Steel Inspector, you will inspect fabrication, erection, welding, and related construction work. You will review drawings, specifications, welding documentation, and inspection requirements. Your work supports accurate reporting, technical quality, and informed Client decisions.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct structural steel inspections at Client field sites
Inspect fabrication, erection, welding, and construction work
Review drawings, specifications, and welding documentation
Communicate deficiencies and required corrective actions clearly
Prepare complete, accurate, timely inspection reports
Requirements:

Experience inspecting structural steel, welding, fabrication, or erection
Knowledge of welding processes and inspection practices
Ability to interpret structural and fabrication drawings
Strong written communication and technical reporting skills
Relevant welding inspection or NDT certifications are assets
Apply structural steel, welding inspection, documentation, and technical reporting expertise across Qualimet field sites and Edmonton operations.
