Thermal Plant Operations Leader Bath Ontario

Support reliable thermal plant performance in Bath, Ontario, through operational leadership, technical issue resolution, and strong electricity-market knowledge.
OPG is hiring a Thermal Operating Supervisor for its Lennox facility on a 12-month contract. The supervisor oversees shift activities, performs regulated operating-engineer duties, and maintains safe, efficient plant operation. Success requires experience with dispatch operations, IESO requirements, and power plant control rooms.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation
Carry out Thermal Operating Technician core duties
Assess and resolve technical operating issues
Oversee shift work with work-management partners
Apply technical procedures, standards, and legislation
Requirements:
Second Class Operating Engineers Certificate
Grade 12 or equivalent completion
Ten years of power plant control room experience
Experience with IESO and generating-station dispatch requirements
Understanding of electricity and energy markets
Use thermal plant leadership, technical judgment, and dispatch knowledge to support OPG operations at Lennox in Bath.
