Supervised Consumption Paramedic

Support supervised consumption services through emergency response, physical assessments, and naloxone distribution as a Primary Care Paramedic. Work with the Recovery Response Team at Sheldon M Chumir Health Centre.
This regular part time position provides paramedic interventions within a harm reduction model. The Safeworks program includes clinical support, education, safer sex and drug use supplies, and basic wound care. Shifts include days and nights according to rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide emergency service and paramedic interventions
Conduct comprehensive physical and mental health assessments
Deliver harm reduction supplies and naloxone
Educate clients through supervised consumption services
Perform immunizations and basic wound care
Requirements:
Accredited Primary Care Paramedic program completion
Active Alberta College of Paramedics registration required
Current BCLS HCP certification
F.A.R.E. test completed within six months of application
Additional required qualifications as needed
Bring paramedic assessment and emergency care capabilities to supervised consumption services, harm reduction interventions, and Safeworks health education.
