Part Time Phlebotomy Technician
LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services
Perform phlebotomy and support patient care as a part time Lab Patient Technician with LifeLabs. This schedule includes weekdays and every Saturday.
LifeLabs seeks a Lab Patient Technician for specimen collection and preparation. You will greet patients, explain collection processes, perform phlebotomies, and complete ECG tracings. The role also includes Holter monitors, special test collections, documentation, data entry, and patient service.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and confirm required information
Explain protocols before specimen collection
Perform phlebotomies and ECG tracings
Connect and disconnect Holter monitors
Prepare specimens for transportation and testing
Requirements:
Approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent preferred
Phlebotomy experience considered an asset
ECG training or experience considered an asset
Excellent communication and patient service skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
Support LifeLabs patients through accurate specimen collection, compassionate communication, phlebotomy, ECGs, and dependable Saturday availability.
