Launch your teaching career with Winnipeg School Division as a 2027 teacher candidate. Interview virtually through Microsoft TEAMS or in person.
WSD is recruiting teacher candidates graduating in 2027 for its Substitute Teacher roster. After interview selection and eligibility confirmation, candidates can pick up Substitute Assignments. They may also apply for TERM positions in May and June, plus TERM and PERM internal postings beginning in September. Practicum examples will support situational interview responses.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend an interview with two WSD interviewers
Prepare examples from your student practicum experience
Respond to situational interview questions
Submit an optional portfolio showing created lesson plans
Complete emailed new hire documentation as soon as possible
Requirements:
Be a teacher candidate graduating during 2027
Include practicum schools and classroom grade levels on your resume
Submit two summative practicum evaluations from 2026–2027
List three professional teaching references with contact details
Obtain required Manitoba certification authorization before starting
