Geriatric Registered Nurse AgeCare

Provide compassionate geriatric nursing at AgeCare Gibson, using clinical judgment and resident-care expertise. This part-time opportunity serves residents in Willowdale, Ontario.
The Registered Nurse collaborates with the Director of Care to meet individual resident needs within competency. You will provide quality, safe care while respecting resident, family, and staff rights, individuality, and diversity. The position emphasizes health and safety awareness, resident freedom from harm, accurate records, physician orders, and informed healthcare teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver safe and ethical professional nursing services
Coordinate services within the neighbourhood and residence
Inform healthcare teams about resident-status changes
Document conditions in residents’ charts
Implement physician orders promptly and escalate difficulties
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Knowledge of geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care
Knowledge of relevant provincial and federal legislation
Membership in good standing with provincial registry
Sound nursing and personnel administration background
