Personal Support Worker Cultural Care

Apply PSW training, cultural sensitivity, and communication skills while supporting Anishinabek individuals across Manitoulin Island and surrounding areas.
As an Unregulated Care Provider, you will work under an RN or RPN while delivering client-focused services. The position combines observation, documentation, personal hygiene support, medication reminders, and assistance with nursing activities. Anishinaabemowin is an asset, and interpreters may support clients whose first language is Ojibwe.
Key Responsibilities:
Document client condition changes and report concerns promptly
Measure height, weight, and fluid intake and output
Support nursing staff and maintain client safety
Record services accurately in the electronic database
Participate in professional development and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Personal Support Worker Certificate
Current CPR C and First Aid credentials
Valid Class G license and vehicle access
Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector clearances
Microsoft Office proficiency and excellent written communication
Contribute reliable client observation, culturally responsive support, and accurate records within nurse-directed services across Manitoulin Island communities.
