Working under an Administrative Officer or Librarian, you will perform specialized library tasks in a school setting. The work includes processing English and French resources, maintaining collections, supporting students, and using database programs. You will also provide reference and audiovisual assistance.
Key Responsibilities:

Receive, catalogue, and process English and French resources
Maintain shelving, carding, mending, filing, and circulation procedures
Prepare overdue lists using a database program
Assist student supervision and noon-hour library duty
Provide reference and audiovisual maintenance assistance
Requirements:

Grade 12 or equivalent and Library Technician Certificate
Experience in all aspects of library technician work
Knowledge of Dewey Decimal and Sears subject headings
Working knowledge of French and computer library procedures
Ability to work independently with children and staff
