Student Assistant Burin Region

Support K-12 students across the Burin Region through personal care, mobility assistance, and positive behaviour support on a casual call-in basis.
NLSchools seeks Student Assistants to work under teacher and school-team direction. The position supports student agency, self-determination, active school participation, personal care, mobility, lifting, and safety. School procedures, emergency responses, confidentiality, and field-trip participation are central to the work.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care and mobility support within K-12 schools
Assist with lifting and positive behaviour support
Facilitate student agency and active school participation
Follow fire drill and emergency operating procedures
Maintain student and school confidentiality
Requirements:
High school completion or recognized equivalency
Required experience working with children professionally or voluntarily
Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check required
Related training or coursework is preferred
First Aid or CPI training is an asset
Bring child-support experience, safety awareness, and compassionate assistance to Student Assistant work throughout the Burin Region with NLSchools.
