Recreation Aide Seniors Programs

Support seniors through recreation programming at AgeCare, combining inclusive facilitation, strong documentation, and meaningful relationship building. Programs follow established care plans.
As a Recreation Aide, you will help deliver engaging leisure programs for residents in collaboration with recreation and executive leadership. You will encourage participation, social connection, and well-being while evaluating preferences and program effectiveness. Your work supports AgeCare policies and the Collaborative Care Model.
Key Responsibilities:
Create welcoming and inclusive resident environments
Prepare and deliver scheduled recreation programs
Record participation and required departmental documentation
Support community outings and facility transportation
Assist meal service and resident-centered routines
Requirements:
Required diploma in recreation, leisure studies, or gerontology
Senior care or community experience is an asset
Compassionate, energetic, collaborative resident-centered approach
Clear written and verbal English communication
Appropriate driver’s license classification and screening eligibility
Use inclusive facilitation, senior recreation experience, and accurate charting to strengthen resident engagement within AgeCare communities.
