Lead post-rehabilitation aquatic exercise classes as a Therapeutic Aquafitness Instructor with the City of Mississauga. Use safe, adaptable instruction for varied abilities.
This part-time position supports therapeutic aquatic programming across various City pools. You will lead designated classes, apply rehabilitation exercise protocols, and provide modifications, demonstrations, and feedback. The work helps participants pursue safe and successful outcomes through education, motivation, and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and lead post-rehabilitation aquatic therapeutic classes
Provide verbal, visual, and kinesthetic exercise cueing
Demonstrate modifications for comfort and varied intensity
Supervise safe movements and provide participant feedback
Prepare equipment, audio systems, timesheets, and statistics
Requirements:
Experience leading post-rehabilitation aquatic exercise classes
Current recognized aquatic post-rehabilitation instruction certification
Basic First Aid Certification
Ability to perform exercises while instructing
Ability to complete light lifting in pool environments
Bring therapeutic aquatic instruction, rehabilitation knowledge, and adaptable cueing to participants across the City of Mississauga.
