Uncertified Health Care Aide Vita

Provide person-centered resident support as an Uncertified Health Care Aide at Vita & District Health Centre, working in person across varied shifts.
Southern Health-Santé Sud seeks a permanent, 0.5 FTE UHCA for its Personal Care Home. Under nursing team-leader direction, you will support Activities of Daily Living, follow care plans, and maintain competency through education and certifications. The role requires initiative and independent judgment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support residents and patients with Activities of Daily Living
Follow care plans and established standards of practice
Determine work priorities and methods independently
Take appropriate action on unusual matters
Engage in education and certifications to maintain competency
Requirements:
Completed micro-credential course for this position
Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent combination
Current Basic Life Support certification for Acute Care
One to two years healthcare experience preferred
Ability to communicate effectively and respect confidentiality
Bring ADL support, communication, and person-centered care skills to Southern Health-Santé Sud’s Vita personal care home team.
