Support a 12-year-old client in Toronto through one-on-one home care, emphasizing individualized nursing, family communication, and client safety. Weekend commitment is essential.
The Care Company is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse for ongoing in-home support. Follow established care plans while helping with daily living, mobility, medications, and prescribed exercises. Monitor physical and emotional well-being, maintain thorough documentation, and communicate with Care Coordinators and healthcare professionals. Preferred experience includes deep suctioning, respiratory assessment, oxygen saturation monitoring, skin care, pain assessment, and PRN medication monitoring. Training may be provided to candidates who demonstrate willingness to learn and strengthen clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with activities of daily living and personal hygiene
Support transfers, positioning, mobility, and prescribed exercises
Ensure safe use of medical equipment and client comfort
Assess respiratory status, oxygen saturation, and overall well-being
Maintain clinical records and support continuity of care
Requirements:
Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse qualification and registration
Sound clinical judgment within professional scope and competencies
Required health screening, vaccination, and background documentation
Current CPR, First Aid, and WHMIS 2015 certification
Regular Saturday overnight and Sunday afternoon availability
