Radiation Detection Field Service Technician

Radiation detection systems and electronic troubleshooting define this full-time Field Service Technician position based in Oakville, Ontario, with regular travel.
You will install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot technologically advanced systems at industrial customer sites. The work combines electronics, instrumentation, mechanical equipment, networking, and customer technical support. Collaboration with engineering and production teams supports customized applications for steel, recycling, waste, and other facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and commission radiation detection systems and associated equipment
Perform maintenance, inspections, calibration, testing, and functional verification
Diagnose electrical, electronic, mechanical, software, and networking faults
Prepare service reports, certificates, inspection records, and documentation
Train operators and guide customer maintenance teams technically
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in electronics, instrumentation, or electrical technology
Three to five years of relevant field service experience
Knowledge of electronics, sensors, diagnostics, and industrial instrumentation
Networking, communication interface, calibration, and technical documentation skills
Valid driver’s licence, clean record, passport, and travel availability
