Grade 7/8 French Immersion Teacher

Teach Grade 7/8 French Immersion full time with the Simcoe County District School Board, supporting instruction, evaluation, and classroom management.
This long-term occasional teaching assignment reports to Principal Jamaal Fyffe. The teacher provides effective instruction, evaluates pupil progress, manages classes, and prepares required teaching plans and outlines. The assignment is 1.0 FTE, equal to 100% time or five days weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver effective instruction, training, and pupil evaluation
Manage classes and report pupil progress when requested
Prepare required teaching plans and instructional outlines
Maintain classroom safety and consistent disciplinary practices
Complete report cards and participate in parent meetings
Requirements:
Grade 7/8 French Immersion teaching assignment
Permission to contact two professional references
Current and most recent supervisor listed as references
Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check before employment begins
Completion of mandatory Board training modules before starting
Support Grade 7/8 French Immersion pupils through instruction, evaluation, planning, classroom management, and family communication.
