Remote Camp First Cook
Matrix Camps and Logistics
Lead remote camp meal service with MATRIX using menu planning, scratch baking, and advanced HACCP food safety recording methods. A rotation schedule applies.
This experienced First Cook position reports to the Camp Manager at a remote exploration camp. You will perform or coordinate catering independently and within a team. Responsibilities include preparing three daily meals, managing inventory, ordering groceries, and coaching kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner services
Produce baked goods and desserts from scratch
Develop menus reflecting preferences and dietary restrictions
Maintain inventory, ordering, receiving, and storage procedures
Execute HACCP recording and food safety plans
Requirements:
Minimum three years as a remote camp First Cook
Management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
Proficient computer skills and attention to detail
Ability to work rotations and lift fifty pounds
Bring remote camp cooking, food safety, and kitchen leadership experience to MATRIX as an experienced First Cook.
