Temporary Full-Time Maternelle Teacher

Good Shepherd School seeks a temporary full-time Maternelle Teacher for a 1.0 FTE assignment in Peace River, Alberta, beginning November 1, 2026.
The successful candidate teaches a full-day French Immersion Kindergarten homeroom during the 2026-2027 school year. Additional duties in the K-6 environment may depend on the candidate’s skill set. This position calls for knowledge of inclusive education, English as a second language programming, and support for varied learning requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the full-day French Immersion Kindergarten homeroom
Perform other assigned duties within the K-6 environment
Support students requiring individualized programs or enrichment
Apply learning modifications and accommodations when required
Work collaboratively with fellow colleagues
Requirements:
Understanding of inclusive education principles and practices
Knowledge of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students
Knowledge of English as a second language programming
Skills supporting individualized student learning requirements
Willingness to live in a rural community environment
