You'll engage with scientists and engineers to interpret rough sketches and specifications, programming and operating machining equipment to create one-off parts. This role involves responsibility for in-house machinery and coordination with external machine shops when required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret engineering drawings and rough sketches
• Program and operate machining equipment accurately
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to determine specifications
• Oversee in-house machining processes
• Coordinate with outside machine shops as needed
Requirements:
• Aspiration to contribute towards building a quantum computer
• Strong teamwork skills in a collaborative setting
• Experience with precision machining techniques
