Auto risk underwriting at Nordic combines complex risk assessment, broker service, and analytical communication in Intact’s hybrid Dartmouth workplace.
This Commercial Lines Underwriter Level I role supports auto insurance risks that do not qualify for voluntary markets. You will assess IRCA and public vehicles insurance, manage transactions, and collaborate across teams. The position contributes to service objectives while following Facility Association rules and rates.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and rate new business, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations
Guide brokers across a wide range of unique risks
Partner with claims teams to support after-loss underwriting
Balance priorities and deliver service-driven productivity
Contribute recommendations improving departmental efficiency
Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex insurance risks
Required IRCA and/or public vehicles insurance experience
Clear communication adapted to each audience
Curiosity and enthusiasm for continuous learning
Eligible to work in Canada without immigration sponsorship
