Junior Satellite Systems Engineer

Design satellite systems at MDA Space, applying systems engineering and SysML modelling across remote sensing and communications missions. This junior role spans lifecycle activities.
The Junior Satellite Systems Engineer supports requirements, architecture, integration, verification, and operations for current and next-generation satellites. You will work across spacecraft subsystems, including power, thermal, propulsion, structures, and communications. The position contributes to mission objectives, cost targets, and schedule constraints under senior oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and formalise mission-level requirements under supervision
Build SysML block models and perform baseline calculations
Update architecture documents and maintain requirements traceability
Support vibration, TVAC, and RF test campaigns
Analyse early post-launch telemetry under supervision
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or Physics
Two or more years designing satellite systems on LEO, MEO, or GEO missions
Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and their interactions
Experience with Confluence and JIRA
English communication skills; French knowledge is an asset
