Work as a PACU Registered Nurse in New Westminster, delivering detailed recovery care at Royal Columbian Hospital near Sapperton SkyTrain.
This Registered Nurse position focuses on patients recovering from anesthesia following surgery or medical procedures. At Royal Columbian Hospital, you will coordinate nursing care, prioritize tasks, collaborate with interprofessional providers, and document patient responses. Care follows BCCNM standards, Fraser Health procedures, physicians’ orders, and established hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, perform, evaluate, and document nursing interventions
Coordinate nursing care and assign support staff tasks
Collaborate with physicians and clinical care professionals
Participate in quality improvement and research activities
Maintain current clinical competence through education
Requirements:
Registered Nurse registration with British Columbia’s BCCNM
Graduation from an approved nursing school
One year recent designated-area clinical experience
Relevant postgraduate coursework, certification, or equivalent experience
Ability to organize, prioritize, and communicate effectively
Apply nursing expertise, coordination, documentation, and quality improvement skills within Royal Columbian Hospital’s post anesthetic unit.
