Logistics Specialist Transportation Coordination

Coordinate transportation, customer orders, and freight activities as a Logistics Specialist in Taber, Alberta, supporting domestic and international shipments.
This Logistics Specialist reports to the Logistics Supervisor within a leading food manufacturing organization. The role manages end-to-end transportation and order fulfillment across North America and international markets. Success requires freight coordination, customer service, communication, and transportation systems experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan transportation across truck, rail, ocean, and container shipments
Select carriers, negotiate rates, and schedule deliveries
Track freight movements and address delivery issues proactively
Coordinate orders and shipment updates with internal teams
Review freight, transportation, and brokerage invoices
Requirements:
Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or order management
Strong customer service and communication skills
Knowledge of freight coordination and warehouse operations
International shipping and customs experience considered an asset
Microsoft Office and logistics systems proficiency
