Material Handler Crane Forklift

Inspect steel materials and coordinate shipments as a Material Handler at Steel Technologies, supporting plant operations across rotating day and afternoon shifts.
This Material Handler role supports finished goods, customer requirements, and end-product knowledge at Steel Technologies. You will inspect materials, verify shipping information, follow customer specifications, and organize storage areas. The position also includes equipment inspections, safe handling, housekeeping, and employee training as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect material for transit damage and defects
Compare shipping documents with received materials and identification
Prepare material according to customer specifications
Organize incoming shipments in appropriate storage areas
Inspect cranes or forklifts and complete documentation
Requirements:
Ability to work rotating days and afternoons every two weeks
Ability to use tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
Ability to comply with safety rules and requirements
Ability to lift and move materials up to 75 pounds
Overhead crane experience receives merit pay
Use material inspection, equipment awareness, and safe handling skills to support Steel Technologies plant operations and customer specifications.
