Casual RPN Long Term Care
Extendicare
Support seniors as a Casual RPN at Extendicare LTC in Oshawa, applying nursing standards, care planning, and infection control knowledge. This is part-time work.
The Casual RPN provides nursing care according to physicians’ orders and administrative policies. You will assess residents, monitor changing conditions, and contribute to care plans. The position supports Extendicare’s mission of providing care wherever people call home.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide care using established nursing standards and principles
Observe, report, and record vital signs and conditions
Assist with resident assessments and care plans
Monitor health and identify changes requiring referrals
Process and implement physicians’ orders
Requirements:
Current certificate of competence from an approved provincial institution
Registration or eligibility for registration with approved institutions
Experience with cognitively impaired residents
Knowledge of nursing, healthcare, and infection control practices
Reliable vehicle access required for community home care
Bring compassionate senior care, assessment, documentation, and infection control skills to Extendicare’s Oshawa long-term care team.
