Prepare meals at Providence Manor as a Casual Cook, using standardized recipes and safe food handling procedures. Work at the downtown Kingston location.
This Cook serves Residents, staff, and visitors through cafeteria, MOW, Hildegard, and catering food preparation. The position follows menu rotations, production sheets, portion standards, and applicable Ministry of Health LTC requirements. Dishwashing duties and participation in meetings are included.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare hot and cold foods for multiple services
Follow menu rotations, production sheets, and standardized recipes
Rotate stored food items properly
Apply safe food handling procedures
Set up steam tables before MOW meal service
Requirements:

Cook’s diploma from an eligible Ontario college
Previous long-term care experience
Ability to follow written instructions in English
Ability to follow oral instructions in English
Red Seal completion is an asset
Bring culinary training, long-term care experience, and safe food handling skills to Providence Manor’s food services team.
