Lead high-performance mechanical design at Broadcom in Ottawa, Ontario as a Principal Mechanical Engineer. Design enclosures, supervise teams, and ensure product quality from concept to production.
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of mechanical assemblies for ultra high-performance electronic products. This role requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, engaging in design, development, and validation. You'll also lead efforts in product ownership, maintenance, and improvement post-launch.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee mechanical design for high-performance enclosures
• Collaborate with engineering teams on product innovations
• Manage design from conception to production and customer trials
• Facilitate vendor negotiations and BOM creation
• Ensure compliance with international safety and environmental standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 12+ years of experience in mechanical design
• Expertise in cooling solutions for high-powered enclosures
• Proven track record in lifecycle product ownership
• Experience in leading small technical teams
