Teach Grade 2/3 French Immersion students at 0.5 FTE, with French as a Second Language qualifications, during the day-one to five schedule.
The Simcoe County District School Board seeks a long-term occasional teacher for a Grade 2/3 French Immersion assignment. The successful teacher provides instruction, evaluates pupil progress, manages classes, and reports to the principal. The assignment is 0.5 FTE, equal to 2.5 days weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide effective instruction, training, and evaluation of pupil progress
Manage assigned classes and report progress to the principal
Prepare required teaching plans and instructional outlines
Carry out assigned supervisory and instructional program duties
Maintain classroom safety and consistent disciplinary practices
Requirements:
French Immersion teaching assignment experience or qualifications
French as a Second Language qualifications
Ability to teach Grade 2/3 students
Willingness to provide two professional references
Successful Vulnerable Sector Check before beginning employment
Support Grade 2/3 French Immersion learning through effective instruction, evaluation, classroom management, and collaboration with the principal.
