Specimen Collection Laboratory Technician

Support patient care through specimen collection and preparation as a full-time Lab Patient Technician working variable shifts. Accurate documentation and compassionate communication guide each patient interaction.
This Lab Patient Technician position covers the complete collection process, including patient intake, protocol explanations, testing, and specimen preparation. You will perform special collections, maintain client relationships, respond to inquiries, and enter demographic and requisition data. The position is full time with variable shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Confirm patients followed required testing protocols
Connect and disconnect Holter monitors
Perform ECG tracings and special test collections
Maintain client relationships and follow up on requests
Enter patient and requisition information accurately
Requirements:
Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent preferred
Strong customer and patient service abilities
Empathy and adaptability during stressful situations
Good computer skills and 40 words per minute typing
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Bring careful specimen handling, data entry, and empathetic communication to this full-time laboratory patient technician role.
