LifeLabs seeks four part time Medical Lab Assistants to join its team. In this position, you will be integral to the testing process, unpacking specimens, confirming patient information, and preparing samples for analysis. Additionally, you'll train new staff and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Unpack and sort incoming specimens for testing
• Confirm accuracy of patient information and samples
• Prepare specimens for technical analysis and processing
• Train and orient new team members effectively
• Perform maintenance on laboratory equipment regularly
Requirements:
• Completion of a Medical Lab Assistant program is beneficial
• Detail-oriented with multi-tasking capabilities
• Data entry and computer competency required
• Experience in laboratory operations an asset
• Strong communication skills with internal departments
