Race Track Equipment Operator
Woodbine Entertainment
Operate and maintain race track equipment safely at Woodbine Entertainment Group, supporting grounds, roads, parking lots, stables, and buildings. Shift work is required.
This Race Track Maintenance Operator maintains assigned grounds and operates cars, trucks, tractors, loaders, and specialized attachments. The position supports Woodbine Entertainment Group’s horseracing facilities through equipment checks, deliveries, cleaning, maintenance, and emergency response. Duties also include labourer tasks and accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate trucks, tractors, loaders, rollers, and grounds equipment
Complete equipment circle checks and report defects immediately
Perform labourer duties including shovelling, stall maintenance, and grass cutting
Conduct deliveries and pickups on and off premises
Respond to fires, water leaks, and horse-related incidents
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Class DZ driver’s licence
At least one year of similar driving experience
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures and WHMIS
Availability for shifts, weekends, holidays, travel, and lifting up to 50 pounds
