Casual Registered Nurse Long Term Care

Deliver geriatric nursing care as a casual Registered Nurse with AgeCare West Williams in Kitchener, Ontario, using sound clinical judgment and collaboration.
Reporting to the Director of Care, the Registered Nurse supports resident care within their competency level. This position applies nursing knowledge, interpersonal skills, and professional judgment to provide safe, ethical services. The RN also promotes resident safety, teamwork, respect, quality, and diversity throughout the residence.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate nursing and other resident services within the neighbourhood
Lead shift reports with the healthcare team
Communicate changes in residents’ health status
Maintain resident charts according to applicable standards
Review and process physician orders promptly
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Background in geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing
Knowledge of activation, nursing, and personnel administration
Registration and good standing with the provincial registry
Knowledge of applicable nursing home legislation and standards
Bring resident-centred nursing, shift leadership, documentation, and physician-order coordination to AgeCare West Williams in Kitchener.
