Carewest seeks a Pharmacy Assistant for client-specific medication preparation and pharmacy services at its Calgary care centre.
This casual support position reports to the Program Director, Pharmacy Services, and performs routine duties connected with pharmacy operations. Responsibilities include using pharmacy equipment, processing orders, maintaining inventory control, and supporting services for clients. The assigned location is Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre, Pharmacy BW, with day shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Process orders supporting client-specific medication preparation
Use pharmacy equipment efficiently during routine duties
Maintain inventory control for pharmacy services
Support pharmacy service administration as required
Provide service within a customer-focused environment
Requirements:
Preferred Pharmacy Assistant certificate or diploma
Required basic computer skills using MS Office and FileMaker
Preferred long-term care pharmacy experience
Preferred acute care hospital pharmacy experience
Community pharmacy experience may be considered
Use pharmacy training, order processing, and inventory control skills to support Carewest’s client-focused services in Calgary.
