Gynecologic Oncology Nurse Navigator
Silver Cross Hospital
Coordinate gynecologic oncology care as a Nurse Navigator at Silver Cross Hospital, using clinical assessment and patient education skills. Work daytime Monday through Friday.
This Cancer Center role coordinates patients through the disease process and connects them across medical services. You will assess clinical, emotional, spiritual, psychosocial, and financial needs. The position also manages symptoms before and after treatment while supporting understandable, feasible treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as liaison for patients, families, and multidisciplinary clinical teams
Assess diverse patient needs across the disease process
Facilitate resolutions and monitor patient follow-up
Educate families about treatments, side effects, and reportable symptoms
Coordinate discharge planning with families and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program
Minimum two years hematology or oncology clinical nursing experience
General computer skills and adaptability to changing assignments
Excellent communication with patients, families, and physicians
Support Silver Cross Hospital patients through gynecologic oncology care with assessment, coordination, education, and follow-up expertise.
