Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse
Extendicare (Canada)
Provide person-centered nursing care as a part time Licensed Practical Nurse with Extendicare, using clinical judgment and care coordination skills. Support residents according to provincial standards.
Reporting to the Director of Care or Director of Health & Wellness, the LPN delivers planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed care. You will assess residents, maintain care plans, administer medications and treatments, and communicate changes. The role supports residents in a senior’s environment through collaborative nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete clinical assessments, care plans, and required documentation
Provide direct resident care and administer medications and treatments
Coordinate care assignments and resident care conferences
Respond to significant condition changes and medical emergencies
Educate residents and families about care
Requirements:
Current Licensed Practical Nurse registration in the applicable province or state
Strong communication, critical thinking, and care coordination skills
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification
Sound clinical knowledge and computer proficiency
Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one
Bring licensed nursing practice, medication administration, and resident-focused care coordination to Extendicare’s part time team.
