Public Works Maintenance Labourer

Operate small machinery and power tools as a Labourer with the City of Dawson Creek. Support public works maintenance across Dawson Creek, British Columbia.
This full-time, term position works in the Operations department under general supervision. You will assist with snow removal, surveying, utility locates, cemetery maintenance, and infrastructure repairs. The work includes water and sewer, roads, and sidewalks, with physically demanding tasks in undesirable locations.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform snow shovelling and snow removal activities
Assist with surveying and utility locates
Complete cemetery maintenance tasks
Repair and maintain water and sewer infrastructure
Maintain roads and sidewalks using tools and machinery
Requirements:

Ability to perform physically demanding work
Ability to work in undesirable locations
Ability to operate small machinery
Ability to operate power tools
Availability for full-time, term employment
Bring practical equipment operation and maintenance abilities to public works supporting water, sewer, roads, sidewalks, and community spaces.
