Class 1 Vacuum Truck Driver

Operate vacuum and pressure equipment as a Class 1 Driver with Industrial Services in St. John's, Newfoundland. Manage hoses, pumps, booms, and valves safely.
This Class 1 Driver position supports Industrial Services through fluid handling, equipment operation, and documentation. Drivers load, transport, and unload hazardous and non-hazardous materials, including drilling fluids, sludge, sewage, and wastewater. The work includes inspections, maintenance, safety compliance, and customer communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate vacuum pumps, hoses, booms, valves, and pressure equipment
Load, transport, and unload hazardous and non-hazardous materials
Complete inspections, greasing, fluid checks, and supply top-ups
Perform hose dragging, tank cleaning, climbing, crouching, and kneeling
Maintain ELD logs, manifests, work orders, and required documentation
Requirements:
Valid Class 1 licence with manual transmission and air brake
Ability to lift, push, and pull 50+ pound hoses
Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Availability for out-of-town, rotational, overtime, and on-call work
Ability to use the Geotab electronic log system
