Join the Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre as a Victim Services Coordinator. Provide trauma-informed support to children and families affected by violence in a compassionate environment.
At LUNA, you will join a multidisciplinary team, delivering critical support during the challenging journey of families impacted by violence. This position emphasizes collaborative efforts to connect families with vital resources while guiding them through forensic, investigative, and judicial processes. You will develop and manage individualized support plans, assess needs, and provide ongoing case support while maintaining confidentiality and a positive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome families, ensuring they feel safe and supported
• Assess needs and connect to community resources
• Provide information on victim rights and benefits
• Maintain accurate records and case documentation
• Prepare families for court processes with emotional support
Requirements:
• Degree in Social Work or Criminal Justice
• 3+ years of experience in Victim Services
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
• Enhanced security clearance and checks required
