Vancouver Licensed Practical Nurse

Bring practical nursing expertise to Providence Health Care’s Langara site in Vancouver, with rotating days and evenings onsite.
This Licensed Practical Nurse position serves long-term care residents across Providence Health Care’s multi-site program. Whether experienced or new to nursing practice, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include preparing residents for procedures, monitoring symptoms, teaching, and supporting families.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare residents for procedures, transfers, and admissions
Monitor signs and symptoms and communicate with care teams
Address resident and family learning needs
Coordinate individualized care plans with interdisciplinary teams
Assist with discharge planning and external supports
Requirements:
Recognized Practical Nursing education or equivalent preparation
Practicing LPN registration with British Columbia’s nursing regulator
Current basic cardiac life support certification
Physical ability to perform position duties
Ability to identify learning needs and teach residents
Use practical nursing, assessment, education, and care coordination skills while supporting residents at Langara and related sites.
