Senior Commercial Property Claims Examiner

Lead complex commercial property claims in Toronto using strong investigative, analytical, and negotiating skills within a three-day in-office hybrid model.
Munich Re is hiring a Claims Examiner with seven to ten years of multi-line claims experience. You will handle, evaluate, reserve, and resolve claims, primarily across Commercial Property, COC, and specialty lines. The position supports Temple Insurance’s claims department and its internal, external, and global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Confirm coverage and identify issues under applicable insurance contracts
Investigate claims and determine potential and ultimate loss exposures
Maintain reserves, claim data, payments, and file documentation
Direct adjusters, counsel, and external claim service providers
Present claims and prepare Large Loss Reports for committees
Requirements:
University degree; law, business, or finance is an asset
Seven to ten years of multi-line claims experience
Commercial property claims experience and general insurance acumen
Excellent analytical, negotiating, investigative, and communication skills
Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook abilities
