General Duty Laboratory Technologist

Dynacare seeks a General Duty Technologist for its King Edward laboratory, performing microbiology testing, bench work, and equipment quality control. This is full-time permanent employment.
You will perform and release various laboratory tests while following Dynacare processes, procedures, and departmental manuals. Daily responsibilities include processing microbiology specimens, preparing solutions, maintaining records, completing calibrations, and supporting accurate diagnostic data. The schedule alternates between Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday, totaling 37.5 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine laboratory procedures supporting diagnosis and treatment
Complete bench work according to daily schedules
Prepare chemical solutions and maintain consumable orders
Perform equipment maintenance, calibrations, and quality control
Communicate workload changes, concerns, and complaints appropriately
Requirements:
Current Medical Laboratory Technologist registration with CSMLS and CMLTM
Microbiology specimen processing knowledge
Microbiology experience
Ability to work independently and within groups
Ability to multitask with excellent communication skills
Use laboratory procedures, microbiology knowledge, and careful documentation to deliver reliable testing at Dynacare’s King Edward site.
