Concurrent Disorders Registered Nurse

Support clients with severe mental illness and addiction as a Registered Nurse on the Concurrent Disorder Unit at Centennial Ctr MH & Brain Inj. Work evenings within a client-centered treatment approach.
This temporary part-time position serves the Concurrent Disorders Enhanced Service within the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program at CCMHBI. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with an interdisciplinary team. Nursing processes, critical thinking, patient teaching, counselling, advocacy, and family-centered care are central to the work.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations
Assess and evaluate care for clients with concurrent disorders
Teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and families
Support safe, quality, integrated, holistic patient care
Contribute to learning experiences for students, staff, and patients
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program
Active or eligible CRNA registration and practice permit
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Health Care Provider certification
Inpatient Addictions and Mental Health experience
Leadership, observation, communication, and psychiatric rehabilitation skills
Apply nursing judgment, mental health expertise, and collaborative care skills supporting clients on the Concurrent Disorder Unit.
