Mechanical Designer CAD Manufacturing
Acuity
Mechanical Designer work at Acuity Inc. centers on CAD, product optimization, and manufacturing support. Develop accurate designs, documentation, and BOMs.
This Mechanical Designer supports product design and continuous improvement at Acuity Inc. The work includes SolidWorks CAD, cost reduction, custom product requests, and production troubleshooting. You will collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, quality, and other multidisciplinary teams to support quality and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop part geometries, assemblies, and product enhancements
Create drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
Maintain BOM structures, component hierarchies, and product records
Manage ECO implementation across drawings and documentation
Troubleshoot design issues affecting production flow
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or related field
Minimum two years of relevant experience, preferably manufacturing
CAD proficiency; SolidWorks experience considered an asset
Knowledge of aluminum and steel manufacturing processes
French and English proficiency, written and spoken
